Ceiridwen Terrill

  Part adventure memoir, part research in the science of wolves and dogs, Portland author Ceiridwen Terrill reads from her book Part Wild.

Part Wild is the deeply personal story of one woman’s life with Inyo, a canine both wolf and dog, a great companion on wilderness adventures but a heavy responsibility in the everyday life of a city neighborhood where her instincts are continually frustrated by confinement. Interwoven with the story are the results of five years’ investigation into the genetics, biology, morphology, and behavior of wolves and dogs, as well as interviews with breeders and rescuers across the country. Terrill also traveled to Russia to study the world’s foremost domestication experiment with silver foxes.
