Matt Love grew up in Oregon city and is a lifelong educator and publisher of Nestucca Spit Press. He’s the author/editor of ten books about Oregon including The Beaver State Trilogy, Citadel of the Spirit: Oregon’s Sesquicentennial Anthology, Super Sunday in Newport, Gimme Refuge: The Education of a Caretaker, and Love & The Green Lady, Meditations. His latest book is Sometimes a Great Movie: Paul Newman, Ken Kesey and the Filming of the Great Oregon Novel, which completes his Newport Trilogy. In 2009, Love won the Oregon Literary Arts’ Stewart H. Holbrook Literary Legacy Award for his contributions to Oregon history and literature. He lives in South Beach with his dog and teaches English, photography, creative writing and journalism at Newport High School. He’s currently working on a book about rain.
